"More than just a Gîte"

At Mas Saint Antoine we try and make our offer "more than just a gîte". As such, we can help with the following:

Local Information

As we live on site we are always around to answer your questions, offer you assistance and share our knowledge of the region. Every gîte is provided with an information pack in which (as well as describing life at the Mas) we have gathered information about local attractions, markets and recommended restaurants. (We'll even help with reservations, if you need it.)

Bed and Breakfast

During low and mid-season periods we can offer B&B accommodation starting at E75 per night. If you are interested, please contact us to check availability. Please note that we are unable to offer this option during the months June to September.

Kitchen Starter Packs

If you are arriving late or have a full days travelling and don’t want to face going out again shopping we can provide a kitchen starter pack or a light evening meal. We try and leave a few bits and pieces in each gîte like washing up liquid, coffee, olive oil etc left by its previous occupants for your use. If you would like to know more please ask for details.

Pizza Nights

Pizza Nights are informal evenings offering our guests a chance to get to know others staying at Mas Saint Antoine. We have our own pizza oven where we get together and everybody has a go at making their own pizza. Its also a good chance to get to know us better as we are on hand all night to help make and cook as many pizzas as you wish.

Shuttle Service

Airports - We are 15 minutes from Avignon, 50 minutes from either Nimes or Marseille and 80 minutes from Montpellier. Rental cars are available at all airports, however we can arrange collection to and from any airport if required. TGV - We are 10 minutes from the Avignon TGV station and 15 minutes from the Avignon Central Train station. Rental cars are available or we can arrange collection to and from either station if required. Prices on request and bookings can be made up until the day before you arrive.

Babies and small children

Highchairs, cots, booster seats and a light stroller(suitable for 6 months to 3 years or 15kg) available at no extra cost. We do suggest that you let us know if you require any of these at the time of your booking so they can be reserved. We also have a small selection of toys and buckets and spades for your trip to the beach.

Book exchange

In each of the Gites we offer a variety of books mainly left behind from previous guests. You are welcome to exchange the book that you bring with you. We also have a selection of magazines at the pool which is constantly being updated as new guests arrive and add to it.

TV and DVD's

For those cooler evenings in the off season we have a large selection of DVD’s and players available at no extra cost. These can be requested during your stay.

Golf

A small selection of golf clubs are available free of charge - mens left & right and woman's right. There are a few golf courses ranging from pitch n putt (10 minutes away) to country clubs from 20 minutes away.

Cycling

We can arrange cycle hire from a local company who deliver and collect from Mas Saint Antoine. Prices for hire start at 19€ for a day to 74€ for a week and 120 € for a fortnight depending on the type of bike. If you wish cycle hire to be arranged in advance of your visit we suggest you contact them directly at www.telecycles-location.com . They can also offer you maps of the cycling routes around our immediate area.

Communications

Wi-fi is available if you bring your own laptop/blackberry. We can also provide a list of local internet café’s near by.

Provencal Dining

Not everybody wants to eat out or cook by themselves every night. In season, we offer you the experience of dining under the plane tree or on our terrace for a truely Provencal experience.

Boule Court

There is a Boule Court with Boules supplied. You are welcome to use the court at anytime by yourselves or to challenge the other guests to a game.

Many people arrive tired and/or late at the Mas Saint Antoine after a full days travelling and don’t want to face going out again shopping. Whilst we try and leave a few bits and pieces in each gîte as we prepare it for your arrival - maybe a little washing up liquid and some coffee if any has been left by its previous occupants – we can offer a “shopping or light meal service” – if you like to know more please ask for details.
